HIC
General Secretariat wishes all the best to the members and friends of the
Coalition for 2006, wishes to go on building “another world is possible”.
During
2006, we will celebrate the Coalition's 30th anniversary. We’ll
commemorate it with new and different activities monitoring and advocating for
the rights to land, to housing, to the city, and, even more, towards a place
for everyone to live in peace and dignity.

Social Forum 2006
The WSF is a space for open
debates, for the reflection and for proposals, for the exchange of ideas and
experiences among social movements, NGO networks and other civil society
organisations that do not accept neo-liberalism, imperialism and world
domination by the capital. Another world is possible!
HIC has been an active
participant of the WSF, both at the International Council and in the events
since its first expression in 2001.
In 2006, HIC will still go
on with WSF organizing, cooperating and participating in events in Bamako
(Mali) and Caracas (Venezuela). For further information see:

We are still awaiting the
confirmation of the postponed dates of Karachi WSF and will share the
information as soon as it becomes available.
HIC will also participate
in the European regional forums (Athens, April 2006) and Caribbean (Martinique,
July 2006).
Be part
of the Coalition!
We remind you that once a
year HIC members and friends should edit and correct their membership profile
and renew membership. For this purpose, an online service is available to check
your personal information and consult other active members' data.
This year, HIC will renew
part of its regional and networks representatives at the Board. We invite you
to get informed about elections of representatives of HLRN, MENA, Asia and
Europe (to take place before Vancouver, June 2006) and Francophone Africa,
Latin America, HSEN and WAS (during the second trimester 2006).
