Esteemed
members of the Electoral Committee,
We would
like to support the nomination of our colleague, Lorena Zárate, as candidate
for the position of HIC President for the 2011-2015 period.
Lorena’s
involvement with FOSOVI (Fomento Solidario de la Vivienda, A.C., member code
MEXMO007) dates back to July 2000, before the regional HIC office in Mexico
existed, when preparations were underway for the First World Assembly of
Inhabitants.
Since then,
she has actively collaborated in the Coalición Hábitat México (Mexico Habitat
Coalition, a local platform made up of FOSOVI, Casa y Ciudad, COPEVI and CENVI)
as the Operations Secretary, assisting in the articulation and coordinated
efforts to impact housing and habitat policies.
We are
fully confident that her professional trajectory and dedication will be
essential in strengthening the Coalition’s identity and visibility at the
global level.
