Hour: Check your local time here

Duration: two hours (estimated).

Meeting details: This is an online meeting using the Zoom software, please access the call room by clicking here. Please follow the instructions on the screen and test your microphone and headphones before entering the call room. Please make sure that your microphone is off if you are not talking. Remember to turn your microphone on before your intervention. Please don’t test your microphone during the meeting as this will interrupt the discussions. Make sure that you type your name and the name of your organization in your user profile.

Languages: the main language will be English although participants are encouraged to speak also in French and Spanish. The interventions will be translated into English, Spanish and French in writing. To follow the chat in each language please click here:

Please note that these are read-only chats; participants cannot type or edit the content. Different background colors are used to facilitate the reading.

Interventions: If you want to intervene, please raise your hand using the dedicated button in the Zoom software. If the audio is not working well, please type your question in the software chat. As this will be an online meeting, all contributions and questions must be short (limited to two minutes) and ideally sent in advance to the HIC General Secretariat (gs@hic-net.org) so they can be translated into English, Spanish and French. This would speed the translation process and the dialogue. Please do not turn the video on, as this might affect the quality of the call.

Technical requirements: a computer, tablet or smartphone with microphone and speakers and a stable internet connection is required.

Important note: this is the first time we organize an online General Assembly, thus we expect some delays and technical issues. Be patient and remember that the General Assembly and the voting procedure will remain open 4 weeks, ending on 9 January 2019. This will ensure that all Members with the right to vote have enough time to review the proposals and exercise their right to vote by e-mail. We would like to remind HIC Members that it is necessary to renew your membership in order to vote in the General Assembly meeting. Please make sure to pay the membership fees before December 11 2018 at 11:59pm GMT. The deadline to send in-kind contributions was November 28 2018 at 11:59pm GMT.
If you are unable to participate in the meeting online, a proxy may be given to another HIC member with the right to vote and able to participate online. Click here to download the proxy form, and be sure to fill it out and send it to the General Secretariat before December 5th 2018.

In order to make sure that your organization has the right to vote, please contact Marie at marie@hic-net.org
