Women’s access to property in land and housing is central to the commitments and interests of the Coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Community-based Organizations (CBOs) Working in the Area of Human Settlements and Habitat (the CONGEH). This concern also coincides with that of our partners, including Habitat International Coalition (particularly the Women and Shelter Network) and Rooftops Canada.
To obtain this noble objective, it is necessary to develop tools and instruments that act as catalysts to this commitment.
The present Guide – elaborated in this perspective – suggests a methodological approach for the creation and operation of Land Consultation Clinics (LCCs).
The Guide was elaborated for use by Land Consultation Clinic resource persons, in order to facilitate understanding and action on the ground. It is an outline adaptable to the local context of every zone of intervention.
