European Parliament adopts written declaration on ending street homelessness

“Silent Scream”, exhibition of photographs by Philippe Gabel on the homeless in Paris.

From Lisbon to Athens, millions of homeless live in unacceptable conditions. Jean Marie Beaupuy, European Deputy (ADLE, France) presented the written declaration « Mettre fin au sans-abrisme de rue » (Put an end at the street homelessness), with the collaboration of four other colleagues: MaryLou McDonald (GUE, Ireland), Jacek Protasiewicz (PPE, Poland), Claude Moraes (PSE, UK) et Gérard Onesta (Verts, France). In the framework of this joint action, an exhibition called “cris silencieux” (silent scream) is now taking place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. It gives a clear image of the homelessness in Europe seen through the lens of the French photographer Philippe Gabel.
