3rd Latin American and Caribbean Forum on Housing and Habitat

After the
first experience in Bogotá 2012 and Monterrey 2015, the 3rd Latin American and Caribbean
Forum on Housing and Habitat 2018
is part of a larger initiative called the
Urban Housing Practitioners Hub (UHPH),
a regional platform for knowledge management and promotion of best practices in
urban habitat, which was officially presented at this event.

Since
housing is a central element in the construction of cities, the 3rd Forum focused on identifying the steps from this sector towards the implementation of
the New Urban Agenda (HIII); demonstrating through practices, approaches and
policies how housing interventions can be integrated into a more holistic
vision of habitat, bringing inclusion, resilience and sustainability to
settlements and the city.

On this
occasion, Habitat for Humanity,
in conjunction with the Cities
Alliance
, UN-Habitat and other partners of UHPH, and with the special
collaboration of the Government of the Dominican Republic, organized this
space of exchange and discussion on Housing and Habitat.
