Call for Events for Habitat III now open!




Important: The deadline for submitting
accreditation application
for organizations without consultative status
with the Economic and Social Council is 2 May 2016.

National,
regional, and local governments, as well as representatives from civil society
organizations, parliamentarians, research and academia, grassroots
organizations, women’s groups, children’s and youth groups, business and
industries, foundations and philanthropies, professionals, trade unions and
workers, farmers, indigenous people, media, older persons and intergovernmental
organizations are invited to apply for organizing side and networking events at
the Habitat III Conference taking place from 17 to 20 October 2016, in Quito,
Ecuador.

Deadline
for applications is 30 May 2016

Side Events

The
side events will have a duration of one hour and are an opportunity to share
data, knowledge and initiatives on specific topics of relevance and interest
within housing and sustainable urban development. Side events focusing on
implementation and action-oriented initiatives for the New Agenda will be
prioritized.

Only
one side event per organisation will be selected.

Networking events

Networking
events provide a platform to discuss specific topics of relevance and interest
within housing and sustainable urban development. Networking events have a
duration of two hours and are an opportunity to build knowledge and strengthen
partnerships urban development in cities and towns around the gobble.

Networking
events focusing on implementation and action-oriented initiatives for the New
Agenda will be prioritized.
