The Committee on World Food Security (CFS) will convene the
negotiation of the Agenda for Action for Addressing Food Insecurity in
Protracted Crises (CFS-A4A) at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the
United Nations in Rome, Italy between July 29th and August 1st. The objective of this
meeting is to finalize the CFS-A4A for subsequent submission to the CFS Plenary
for final approval in October 2014.
Negotiation will be based on the First Draft which is available in all
UN languages at http://www.fao.org/cfs/cfs-home/cfs-fipc.
The First Draft has been developed as a result of feedback received during the
consultative process on what should be added, changed, and improved based on
the Zero Draft. The OEWG Co-Chairs’ Summary from each Open-ended Working Group,
the Global Consultation, and the collection of contributions received through
the global e-Consultation are available on the CFS-A4A webpage.
