The Electoral Committee of HIC invites all eligible Members in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to participate in the election of their new Representative to the HIC Board for the 2025–2029 term. Two candidates have been nominated and confirmed their participation. Voting will be open from Sunday 11 May to Sunday 25 May 2025 (23:59 GMT). We encourage all Members listed in the official Roster of Voters to cast their vote and help shape the direction of HIC in the region.

Dear HIC Members of the MENA region,
Receive the greetings of the EC.
As you already know, we are in process of election of the Representative of Middle East/North Africa to the Habitat International Coalition Board for the next four-year term, 2025 through 2029.
Two gentlemen have been nominated as candidates and have duly accepted their nominations:
- Mr. Khalid Khawaldeh of Dana and Qadisiyah Local Community Cooperative (Jordan)
- Mr. Abdelmawla Ismailof Egyptian Association for Collective Rights – EACR (Egypt)

The HIC Members of the MENA region with the right to vote are cordially invited to participate in the election process.
If your name is stated on the final Roster of Voters (also attached), you are requested to vote for ONE CANDIDATE to represent you at the HIC Board for the next four years.
The Candidate that will receive the higher number of votes will be the Representative to the Board.
Your vote must contain the following information:
- Your personal name
- The name of the organization you belong to
- The name of the Candidate you have chosen to be the Representatives at the HIC Board
- The date of your vote

The ballot will only be considered as valid if all this information is provided in your message.
The opening date for voting is Sunday 11 May 2025; the closing date is to Sunday 25 May 2025 (23:59 / 11:59pm GMT).
Deadline for reception of votes: Sunday 25 May 2025 (23:59 / 11:59pm GMT)
The votes will be counted and verified from Monday 26 May 2025 to Sunday 1 June 2025. and the publication of results sent on Monday 2 June 2025.
The EC’s Coordinator will confirm the acknowledgement of receipt to each voter after receiving your ballot.
