Enrique was awarded by the University of Veracruz within the Academic Forum “Bridges and Borders: Migration, Culture and Human Rights” on 16 May 2023, with the medal in the international category.
HIC celebrates this important and well deserved recognition of such an important person in the history of our Coalition. Enrique Ortiz was HIC Secretary between 1988 – 1999 and HIC President between 2003-2007. Currently a wisdom keeper of the organization.
Our Coalition welcomes this new recognition of the important role that Enrique Ortiz plays in the field and the defense of human rights related to habitat.
