Access to Land: Basis of the Right to the City

On the 11th of March, at 6.30 pm, University of Geneva will host Raquel Rolnik, United Nations Special Rapporteur to adequate housing. The topic of the conference will be linked to her ”report on adequate housing as a component of the right to an adequate standard of living, and on the right to non-discrimination in this context” and more generally to questions related to land tenure and the right to the city. This issue will be debated on a public round table by academics (University of Geneva, Geneva Academy) and local and international NGOs engaged in movements against forced evictions and the right to housing (Geneva Housing Cooperatives Association, UrbaMonde, Amnesty International, Habitat International Coalition).
