International Workshops in Berlin: Housing – human right or financial asset?

Within the frame of the conference „Ways to affordable Housing” of the German NetworkRenting & Housing, Sept.
16 & 17 in Berlin, Humboldt University <GERMAN PROGRAM HERE> housing right
internationalists are organizing workshops dealing with critical views on Habitat III and political proposals for the regulation of financialized
real estate corporations.

With the support of
Heinrich-Böll-Foundation we were able to invite activists from India and
Catalonia. Also the German NGO Forum Environment & Development is
supporting the meetings in the German capital, which recently has suffered much
from fast rent increases and gentrification. Regional elections will take place
just one day after the conference, and housing is a major issue in the
campaigns.
