People’s Expo is
the international forum of the civil
society and farmers’ movements that will be held in Milan, at the
Fabbrica del Vapore, from 3rd to
5th June
2015, to respond to the “Feeding the Planet”
challenge, by implementing the principles of Food
Sovereignty and Environmental
Justice.
The Organizing Committee includes
over 40 Italian non-profit organizations that have underwritten a Manifesto offering clear indications on
solutions to be implemented, to eventually
achieve recognition of the right to appropriate food and fair and sustainable
use of natural resources.
Dozens of international networks have been invited, including 150 delegates, who will come from the five continents.
The Forum mainly aims at allowing
people’s voice to be heard along with governments and corporations’ and
at turning Milan and Italy in one of the steps of the
civil society and the global movements towards the two important UN rendezvous of the year: the Post-2015 Development Agenda and the Global Agreement against Climate
