Dear Member(s) and Friend(s) of the Coalition:
We would like to inform you that the electoral process to renew HIC Board representatives from Latin America and the Caribbean has been successfully completed.
As was previously communicated, the application and voting procedures were conducted through the use of electronic means of communication, primarily through email.
Four people from HIC member entities were nominated for election. Of a total of one hundred active members with the right to vote from Latin America and the Caribbean, 30 members from 10 countries participated in the election, from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay.
The voting results are as follows:
1) BENEDITO BARBOSA
União Nacional por Moradia Popular (UNMP) – BRAZIL
2) CARMEN GONZÁLEZ A.
Fundación Promotora de Vivienda (FUPROVI) – COSTA RICA
3) MARIA CARLA RODRIGUEZ
Movimiento de Ocupantes e Inquilinos (MOI) – ARGENTINA
4) FÉLIX YÁNES

The result indicates that Benedito Barbosa and Carmen González are elected as HIC Board members and that María Carla Rodriguez and Félix Yánes are elected as HIC Board alternates as outlined by HIC Constitution.
We appreciate all members’ participation and congratulate the elected colleagues, confident that they will uphold this representation with enthusiasm and responsibility.
