The General Secretariat of Habitat International Coalition sent a
message (July 10, 2015) to all Members in good standing in order to request
their participation in HIC’s General Assembly online votations*.
As stipulated in the Article 11.1 of the current
Constitution,” A quorum for a General Assembly meeting consists
of a minimum of 20% of the then current Members, providing that at least 10% of
the Member organizations from a majority of the then current regions approved
by the Board are present in person or online. “
On
03/23/2015, day of the General Assembly in Tunis, there were 106 organizations
organizations in good standing, of which 19 voted, not reaching the required
quorum (21 Members).
An
online voting process was open from 10/07/2015 to 10/08/215. The total participation was 25 Members, reaching the required quorum.
