In face of U20, social organizations, grassroots movements, civil society networks, academics and local authorities committed to equality, human rights and sustainability, we propose to show the other faces and the other voices of our cities. We want to address the root causes that generate impoverishment, exclusion and inequality and exchange experiences of resistance and transformative proposals from neighbourhoods and urban groups.
HIC has been selected to participate at the Global Giving Foundation platform. The selected initiative works together with those affected by the 2017 earthquakes in Mexico in the reconstruction of their right to habitat, a work based on their knowledge and participation.

Under the title: “Housing at the heart of the New Urban Agenda”, this gathering was be a regional space for exchange and discussion to share lessons learned, trends and challenges in the area of housing and urban habitat. The meeting was be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 12 to 14 June 2018.
